MDMS 2011 at Deerhurst Resort – a
fabulous weekend
More than 100 family physicians and their
families enjoyed KMH’s 15th annual
Medical Disease Management Symposium at Deerhurst
Resort in Huntsville, June 25th & 26th.
With an “excellent” satisfaction rating by 98% of
attending physicians, participants found the seven
accredited educational sessions to be “highly
relevant to their practices” and “eye-opening”.
Thank you to our speakers: Dr. Kathy Yip, Dr.
Robert Myers, Dr. Arvinder Grover, Dr. Anthony
Mascia, Dr. Giovanni Marotta of the Memory Centre,
Dr. Craig Suchin of American Access Care, and
Dr. Sanjay Saini of the Harvard Medical School for
their insights and information on the latest
advancements in the diagnosis, assessment and
management of disease. Thanks too, to our event
moderators: Dr. Young Choi and Dr. James Johnston
who kept us on time among the flurry of questions
asked of our speakers.
A highlight of the weekend for everyone was the
Nestor Yanga Physician of the Year Awards banquet
attended by more than 500 guests. This year’s
recipient is Dr. Vivien Brown who was nominated by
a professional peer for her dedication,
professional skills and excellence in patient
